☆☆The idea of using photographs for enumerating Ashby counts was originally suggested to us by Dr. William Thalhimer of Valhalla, N. Y. Recently, Dr. Thalhimer stated in a personal communication to the author that since making this suggestion to us he has also developed a successful photographic technique for enumerating Ashby counts. The use of photographs for enumerating total red cell counts has been described previously. 1
