Abstract
Nine opium alkaloids and the morphine substitute, meperidine, have been subjected
to paper chromatography and their Rf values determined, using various developing solvents and buffered papers.
A method employing paper chromatography is described which enables the detection of
minute amounts of morphine in urine and tissues.
